Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic - Pediatric Rheumatologist
The Division of Rheumatology at Inova LJ Murphy Children's Hospital in Fairfax, VA is recruiting a clinical physician for a full-time position. The ideal candidate would be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology and would be expected to provide exceptional clinical care to children with complex rheumatologic diseases in outpatient and inpatient settings, with opportunities to take part in resident education.

Pediatric Rheumatologist Position Details:
  • There are currently three clinical faculty members supported by a full-time pediatric rheumatology nurse.
  • This position is apart Inova Children's Multispecialty Clinic that includes dedicated infusion suite, clinical pharmacist, social worker, and access to PT/OT and state of the art radiology facilities.
  • We collaborate closely with the National Institutes of Health and the National Eye Institute in management of complex cases and have ties with GW Myositis Center as a Cure JM Center of Excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of accredited Medical Doctorate Program (MD/DO)
  • Board Certification: Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology
  • Certification: Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training; BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Licensure: Currently hold or ability to obtain an unrestricted VA medical licensure
  • Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services
