Job description

NOW HIRING: FLOOR TECHNICIAN - HOUMA AREA

Location: Houma Area, LA

PCMS is seeking a dependable and motivated Floor Technician to join our team in a hospital environment. This position is responsible for maintaining hard floor surfaces and supporting a clean, safe, and professional healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and related machines
Perform floor maintenance duties such as buffing, scrubbing, polishing, and restoring floor surfaces
Assist with stripping and waxing floors as needed
Sweep, mop, and maintain assigned areas
Follow all hospital safety, infection control, and facility procedures
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance concerns
Complete assigned work independently and as part of a team
Ensure all work meets PCMS quality standards

Qualifications:

Floor care experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
Experience operating floor machines is a plus
Reliable transportation required
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work in a healthcare environment and maintain professionalism
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift
Must be dependable and have good attendance
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
