Job Description
Position Summary
At PCC Mentor, we pride ourselves on operational excellence and delivering the highest quality products to our customers. We are seeking an experienced NDT Radiography Level III to serve as the technical authority for X-ray inspection processes at our facility.
In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of radiographic inspection techniques to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. You will also play a critical role in training and mentoring Level I and II technicians while supporting audits and maintaining certification readiness.
This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Level III-or a strong Level II ready to advance-to step into a high-impact leadership role within a world-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Serve as the site-level technical expert for radiographic (X-ray) NDT methods
- Interpret customer specifications, industry standards, and contractual requirements
- Develop and select appropriate radiographic inspection methods and techniques
- Create, review, and approve radiography procedures and work instructions
- Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable standards (NAS 410, etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement of inspection processes
- Support and participate in external audits (e.g., Nadcap, AS9100)
- Ensure adherence to internal written practices and certification requirements
- Maintain readiness for customer and regulatory inspections
- Train, mentor, and develop Level I and Level II technicians
- Prepare team members for certification exams and advancement
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous learning
- Provide hands-on technical support to production and quality teams as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address inspection challenges and improve outcomes
Required
- 4+ years of NDT Radiography experience in a manufacturing environment
- NAS 410 (or equivalent) Level II certification in Radiography
- Strong ability to interpret codes, specifications, and technical requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level III certification in Radiography (or actively pursuing)
- Experience in casting, aerospace, or metals manufacturing
- Familiarity with Nadcap, AS9100, or similar audit frameworks
- Advanced technical expertise in radiographic inspection methods
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to effectively train, mentor, and influence others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment
