Job description

We are looking for Med Techs and PCAs to care for our Residents with Dementia!

Medication technician* $18.44 - $18.94

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance (or reminders) with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed
  • Ensure clients receive their medication on time
  • Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
  • Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to resident, and other dining related responsibilities, record and report changes in resident's eating habits to the supervisor.
  • Record and report changes in resident's condition to the supervisor including but not limited to changes in resident's ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc.
  • Daily follow up on bath schedules and vital signs (blood pressure, weight, and respiration, etc).
  • Immediately report all incidents or accident involving residents to the Resident
  • Follow proper procedures in emergency situations and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.

Personal Care Assistant* $17.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement daily care and activities for residents such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, based on service plans within legal and professional boundaries.
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and community alarms, promoting resident independence and rapport.
  • Maintain accurate care records, conduct safety checks, and communicate resident status effectively between shifts.
  • Report changes in resident condition promptly, follow safety protocols, and ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Address residents' behavioral and psychosocial needs while respecting their rights and promoting independence.
  • Help residents with mobility needs, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids safely.
  • Work collaboratively with other caregiving staff, nurses, and healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective care for residents

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caregiving role, especially in a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • Memory care experience preferred
  • Committed to health & safety.
  • Minimum of one-two years of experience as a Med Tech (If interested in Med tech role).
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid CPR certification
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, such as in nursing homes, hospitals, or clinics preferred.
  • Precision in following medication orders and monitoring residents’ health.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
