Job description

Position Overview:
The Technician Level 1 position is responsible for operating the company's computer systems and providing first level PC/Network support. Computer operations would include ensuring all scheduled work is processed successfully during the assigned shift, troubleshooting any problems that may arise and correcting or, when necessary ensure escalation to the proper level within the department. PC/Network support would include troubleshooting any network / PC Issues that may arise and escalate as needed and, providing PC users support with any issues they experience. Providing A/V support for convention services. Setup throughout the property, configuration and teardown of Audio visual equipment, make changes to digital signage as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
  • First responder for all IT issues that come through the IT helpdesk.
  • Ensuring all scheduled work on all PC's and peripheral equipment is completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring all jobs to ensure proper run status and, validate successful completion.
  • Monitoring all computers, servers and networks to ensure proper operational conditions.
  • Provide support to end-users with any workstation or printer issue.
  • Troubleshoot device problems and correct as needed. This would include replacing failing devices and ensuring proper configuration is maintained.
  • Setup, configuration, teardown of A/V equipment, creating/modifying and publishing images for digital signage throughout the property.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Minimum one (1) year computer operations or network support experience.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the employees throughout all levels of the Mount Airy Resort Casino.

  • Adequate manual dexterity to operate office equipment.

Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License as required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required with occasional travel.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
