The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a PC Network Support Technician 4 to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Chandler, AZ location.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Team lead, providing technical leadership and support for computers and associated networks, while coaching and coordinating with a team of PC Network Support Technicians.
  • Exhibits good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
  • Establishes and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.
  • Coordinates with customers, service desk, server administrators, network engineers, and IT/Cyber management.
  • Collaborate closely with system administrators on complex technical issues, acting as the escalation point for problems that require deeper OS, server or network level expertise.
  • Works through the ticket queue without intervening management direction (self-motivated).
  • Possess a technical understanding of service desk and IT Operations fundamentals.
  • Provides technical support for computers and associated network diagnostics, identifies, isolates and analyzes problems utilizing historical records.
  • Resolves technical problems and answers queries by telephone, in support of internal and/or outside customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  • Uses Active Directory or similar tools to create and unlock user/computer account, perform password resets, following all security policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records in the asset tracking system for all hardware assets (PCs, monitors, phones, peripherals, etc.) and updates status whenever equipment is deployed, moved, repaired, or retired.
  • Completes paperwork and other tasks needed to satisfy Security requirements, following all Security regulations, guidelines and processes regarding the installation and maintenance of, to include retirement of PCs and PC-related hardware and software.
  • Works with Security to remediate classified or unclassified data spillage incidents.
  • Participates in new installations, testing and special projects as needed.
  • Spend portions of the day away from the desk supporting users and moving equipment.
  • Raises issues that require senior level attention or involvement.
  • Lifts and moves equipment up to 50 pounds.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • High School diploma with 6 years of IT experience; OR an Associates degree with 4 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of IT experience is required
    • Experience in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
    • Candidates must meet the U.S.Government 8140 requirements (8570 equivalent) for a PC Desktop Support Tech 4 - IAT level IIcertification (examples: Security+ CE, CND, CCNA Security); OR must have the ability to obtain the certification within 6 months of start date
    • Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a U.S. Government Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree
    • 5 years of experience with IT related hardware in a classified environment
    • Current HW and/or SW Vendor Certifications
    • Active Secret, Top Secret, SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph
    • Security+ CE certification
    • Experience in remote administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs, via SCCM or PowerShell
    • Experience supporting VMware VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) with thin clients
    • Operating System Cross-platform awareness (i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
    • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA)

    Primary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $104,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
