Job description

Bolt Division Machine Operator

Shift 2: 3pm-11pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Band III Machine Operator – 2nd shift – will set up, operate, trouble shoot, and maintain bolt making equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•           Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance

•           Able to read a micrometer and scale

•           Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

•           Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license

•           Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program

•           Maintain clean and orderly work areas

•           Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills

•           All other duties as required

Education / Experience:

  • Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred
  • General knowledge of small hand tools.
  • Forklift experience/license preferred
  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred
  • Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Proficiency in reading a tape measure
  • Occasional lifting may be required
