Payroll Clerk
South Bend, IN

Position Overview

Administered all functions of the time and attendance payroll system for a union workforce, ensuring accurate payroll processing through reconciliation of employee hours, incentive pay, and production data.
Partnered closely with Human Resources to ensure all payroll activities complied with union agreements, employment policies, and benefits practices.
Key Responsibilities
Managed daily payroll operations within ADP eTime, including inputting, reviewing, and clearing timecard exceptions
Collaborated with supervisors and operators to verify employee hours, production data, and incentive pay for payroll accuracy
Reconciled daily payroll and production summaries, ensuring alignment between timekeeping and manufacturing systems
Entered and maintained production data in the time and attendance and manufacturing systems
Prepared shift summaries and maintained detailed spreadsheets to support operational planning
Tracked, documented, and processed payroll adjustments using supervisor-approved documentation
Resolved payroll discrepancies and responded to employee inquiries regarding timecards, pay, and adjustments
Partnered with HR to ensure payroll processing adhered to union contracts and benefits practices
Maintained accurate tracking and reconciliation of union dues payments
Conducted payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process integrity
Supported process improvement initiatives between operations and payroll to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Trained and supported team members on payroll processes and system usage
