Job description

Workstream is a mission-driven company building the all-in-one HR, payroll, and hiring platform for managing the hourly workforce. There are 2.7 billion hourly workers, making up 80% of the global workforce, but this market has been heavily underserved by technology and deserves better. Workstream has been purpose-built for the hourly workforce from day one so that these businesses and their employees can thrive.
Our customers include leading brands from multiple sectors, including Burger King, Carl's Jr./Hardee's, IHOP, KFC, and Culvers. We are a high growth series B company and quickly expanding our product portfolio to deliver on our vision. We are backed by legendary VCs and industry experts like Founders Fund, BOND, and Coatue.
Grow With Us
We're seeking a Senior Customer Implementation Consultant to join our growing Customer Success and Support team. This is a senior-level individual contributor role for someone who thrives in complex implementation environments, has strong product expertise, and is passionate about improving operational excellence.
You'll be a strategic advisor during the onboarding journey for our most complex customers, owning the implementation lifecycle and working cross-functionally to ensure customer success. You'll also be a thought partner to leadership and a mentor to peers-raising the bar as we scale our team and company.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Implementation and is based in Lehi, UT, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Day In The Life

  • Lead high-complexity implementations for large, multi-site customers with minimal oversight.
  • Act as a strategic consultant, guiding clients through best practices on change management, system adoption, and business process transformation.
  • Serve as a product specialist across Workstream's HR and Payroll tools-educating clients, identifying gaps, and recommending tailored configurations.
  • Own the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and successful go-live.
  • Collaborate deeply with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to influence roadmap priorities and share customer feedback.
  • Build and continuously improve scalable implementation processes, documentation, and templates.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and client onboarding plans for key enterprise accounts.
  • Contribute to internal enablement by mentoring team members, leading knowledge shares, and serving as a go-to implementation SME.
  • Influence team culture by modeling operational excellence, curiosity, and customer empathy.
Who You Are
  • You think like an operator-planning ahead, spotting inefficiencies, and continuously refining the customer journey.
  • You're a trusted voice in the room, both with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • You're naturally curious and autonomous-you don't wait for a playbook; you help write it.
  • You lift others-offering your expertise freely and proactively mentoring teammates.
  • 5+ years of experience leading SaaS implementations for complex or enterprise-level clients, ideally in HRIS, Payroll, and/or B2B software
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing consulting, implementation, or technical onboarding role
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-touch onboarding projects simultaneously
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills-especially with Product and Engineering
  • Experience advising clients on process design, adoption strategy, and change management
  • Deep project management skills-you can build Gantt charts in your sleep
  • Comfort with tools like Salesforce and implementation/project management software
  • Ability to train and mentor junior implementation specialists
Nice To Have
  • Payroll, compliance, or HRIS domain knowledge
  • Startup experience of 1 to 3 years (prior customer success experience even better)
What We Offer
  • A mission-driven and value-based company dedicated to empower deskless workers and local businesses
  • An early employee opportunity at a Series B hyper-growth startup; work with the founding team and industry veterans to accelerate your career
  • Competitive salary and equity
  • Comprehensive health coverage: medical, dental, and vision. We pay 95% of your premiums for our employees and 85% for dependents
  • In office amenities and stocked kitchen
  • 401K Plan
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Flexible PTO
Salary Range
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $105,000 in Lehi, Utah, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus and equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skill set, experience, job scope, and current market data.
