The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for executing and overseeing factory payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and a positive employee experience. This role drives payroll standardization, process excellence, and continuous improvement while aligning payroll practices with global guidelines and operating standards.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
 
Timekeeping & Payroll (50%):
  • Enter and reconcile paid time off benefits requiring documentation support such as bereavement, jury duty, etc.
  • Responsible for accuracy of vacation and other time off data in the payroll system.
  • Validate eligible earnings for hourly employee's quarterly incentive bonus.
  • Provide supervisor support for payroll procedures and processes.
  • Open claims with HR Service Center for Floating Holiday reset
  • Submit intake to remove ETO take-back monthly

Employee Relations (20%):

  • Record and communicate attendance infractions and disciplinary actions on a timely basis.
  • Answer employee questions, investigate and correct discrepancies
  • Process unemployment claims relating to payroll questions.
  • Assist employees with address changes and direct deposit changes in success factors.
  • Track and validate local vendor benefits for employee reimbursement (safety shoe purchases, tool reimbursement, safety glass deductions, company store deductions, etc.)
  • Assist employees with the stop payments process.
  • Submit payroll corrections via Intake Forms to the Kronos Timekeeping Team
  • Supports Human Resources to interpret and apply company policies.

Reporting & Systems Management (30%)

  • Audit and reconcile timecard discrepancies, unexcused absences and negative accrual balances in the Kronos payroll system. 
  • Processing confidential reports: Headcount, hours worked & Ad Hoc reports for factory needs.
  • Validate and process Cost Center Report deductions or reimbursements for each pay period. 
  • Create HyperFind Queries in Kronos.
  • Support Indeavor scheduling system.
  • Run reports for Worker Comp hours
  • Assist in projects: Kronos upgrade testing, Indeavor testing

Qualifications / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred
  • Two years SAP HR/payroll system experience, preferred
  • Experience working with Kronos and Workday, preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of local payroll and tax laws and legislation
  • Project management Experience preferred
  • Effectively handles pressures and demands from multiple customers and competing priorities
  • strong customer focused attitude with a commitment to quality and customer Service
  • Able to handle highly sensitive HR and Payroll information in a confidential and professional manner
  • Ability to anticipate problems and embraces a solution-oriented approach, especially in the absence of management.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office & familiarity with Visio.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $64,000.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
