Job description

AWCT is hiring a full time Administrative Support at our Fairfax location in Kansas City, KS. We pay weekly, have an amazing benefits program and a family atmosphere. If you are interested and qualified, please apply quickly for fast consideration!

Summary

Maintains and supports all office functions such as ensuring facility paper flow, complete and accurate documentation, and electronic data transmission. Interfaces with and assists operations leadership/management, team leads, associates, IT, finance, rail and/or truck representatives, and customers with day-to-day operations and special projects. Ensures the integrity of Vehicle Inventory Processing System (VIPS) through the monitoring and balancing of vehicle receipts, inventory, services, and shipments. Acts as the back-up for processing payroll. Assists in maintaining HR information records and backs up other administrative functions with the HR/Payroll Coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper updates to proprietary Vehicle Inventory Processing System (VIPS).
  • Compile and send operations reports to managers and customers.
  • Prepare rail and overland trucking bills.
  • Provide administrative support to customers and operations.
  • Conducts and reports quality review damage claims
  • Assists with quality manual updates as needed
  • File and archive various paperwork.
  • Update and maintain safety data records for all associates.
  • Maintain facility logs and files.
  • Process invoices and complete weekly reports for temporary associates.
  • Complete the daily time and attendance updates.
  • Back up payroll processing and other administrative functions.
  • Support the HR/Payroll Coordinator and other positions in the facility.
  • May provide backup payroll assistance to other AWCT sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • โ€‹โ€‹High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years' experience in administrative work, customer service, or vocational/college education equivalency
  • Above average skills with the computer, including intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, prioritizing, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to accurately and calmly handle multiple priorities
  • Previous payroll experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • โ€‹Associate or bachelor's degree is preferred in HR or a related field
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience with employee onboarding, administering benefits, and payroll is strongly preferred
  • Customer computer application and Microsoft Access experience a plus
  • Experience in a union environment preferred
