Job Summary:

As a Client Accounting & Advisory Solutions (CAAS)ย Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting support and actionable financial insights to our clients.ย  In this position, you will take ownership of day-to-day client accounting activities, serve as a reliable point of contact, and support the development of junior team members through guidance and review. This role blends hands-on accounting execution with increasing responsibility in client engagement management and team support. We're seeking a detail-oriented, solutions-focused accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, excels in client service, and is motivated to grow into future leadership opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, including transaction entry oversight, account clean-up, and month-end close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting workpapers to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and perform variance and trend analysis, identifying key insights and escalating as needed
  • Independently manage smaller client engagements while supporting larger, more complex accounts
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring proactive, professional, and timely communication
  • Support client relationships by assisting with questions, addressing issues, and providing clear financial insights
  • Review work prepared by Associates, providing timely feedback to support development and ensure quality
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members, reinforcing firm processes and standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Stay informed on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements
  • Deliver high-quality work on time while managing multiple client engagements effectively

Education & Experience:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license or progress toward licensure preferred
  • 3-6+ years of experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, or industry accounting
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; experience with Sage Intacct, Xero, NetSuite, and Bill.com preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
