Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting a wide range of HR and administrative functions, including payroll processing, maintaining accurate payroll records, employee records management, assisting with benefits administration, and day-to-day human resources operations. The position involves assisting with onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and policy administration while providing general administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and perform payroll processing.
  • Provide administrative support for Human Resources operations, including maintaining employee records, processing personnel documentation, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with attending career/job fairs.
  • Assist in planning and conducting new employee onboarding.
  • Assist with employee benefit administration.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to employees and vendors.
  • Conduct oneself with integrity.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Be respectful of teammates and support teamwork amongst coworkers.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Assist with maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records using the HRIS system.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in payroll processing and payroll tax management.
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting and deduction procedures.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • HRIS experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of payroll administration or HR experience.
