Responsibilities

Oversee Company payroll and manage all tasks essential to the payroll process. Ensure accurate payroll and timely payroll processing. Review internal processes for efficiency and improvement, to include research of software and other technological alternatives. Duties include but are not limited to:



  • Responsible for the preparation and submittal of weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll.

  • Point of contact for payroll tax issues, working with ADP and various taxing authorities when necessary.

  • Point of contact with Human Resources and Project Managers for any payroll related issues.

  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll related issues.

  • Responsible for calculating and processing adjustments/amendments, including PTO payouts, retro pay, prior period adjustments, bonuses, etc.

  • Timely processing of PTO and Sick accruals .

  • Reconcile 401k contributions and 401k match each pay period.

  • Complete special projects as requested .

  • Assist with year-end audit and 401k compliance testing.


Qualifications

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):



  • Detail oriented with a focus on producing quality timely and accurate work.

  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks to meet critical deadlines.

  • Ability to compose and edit written materials (correspondence, policies, procedures, etc.).

  • Ability to professionally communicate (verbal and written).

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Human Resources or Accounting.

  • 3-5 years of payroll experience
