Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations for a growing organization of 1,000+ employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in payroll systems including ADP Workforce and Workday, with demonstrated experience implementing Workday Payroll. The position requires excellent time management skills to ensure all daily and monthly deadlines are met.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Process multi-state and international bi-weekly payroll for 400+ employees.

  • Ensure adherence to company's guidelines and policies.

  • Coordinate with HR benefits team to ensure benefit deductions are correct.

  • Accurately set up garnishments.

  • Timesheet Administrator for Deltek Timekeeping system, ensuring timesheets are processed in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate across team members and various internal departments to address time administration, labor processing, and payroll related tasks.

  • Research and resolve payroll problems and processing errors; partner with HR personnel to ensure timely resolution of employee payroll issues/inquiries.

  • Conduct training for existing and new employees and managers on the timekeeping system.

  • Responds to States and Unemployment accounts set up and resolving issues.

  • Provide support on all payroll matters as needed.

  • Assists A/P with billing and invoice processing.

  • Assists Accounting team on payroll related inquiries/issues.

  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required.

  • Typically, 15 years of relevant experience required.

  • Proficient in multi-state and international payroll preparation and all related duties such as processing timesheets, maintaining payroll records, inputting new hire information, year-end processing, payroll related accounts reconciliation.

  • Experience with international payroll.

  • Demonstrated experience as a payroll specialist in a government contracting environment.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Deltek T&E system and ADP Workforce System.

Job Profile Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with ADP Workforce system for payroll processing and administration.
  • Proven working experience with Workday, including hands-on use of Workday HCM and payroll modules.
  • Direct experience implementing Workday Payroll system, including configuration, testing, and deployment phases.

Location:Remote local (DMV area)

Travel Expectations: 5%
Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am EST to 5:00pm EST, Monday -Friday
