Job description
Payroll Administrators will provide assistance with semi-monthly payroll, reporting, account reconciliation, T4 processing, audits, and remittances. If you’re looking for your next opportunity to grow, submit your resume and you will be added to our talent pool for consideration as roles become available.
Responsibilities:
- In-house payroll including payroll entry, reporting, and inquiries
- Prepare and process semi-monthly payrolls, including accurate payment of wages, deductions, benefits and related activities
- Manage and adjust vacation day entitlements as required
- Perform off-cycle payroll payments and processing
- Develop reports in Workday as required and as requested by HR, management
- Ensure compliance with government legislation and General Accounting Principles (GAP)
- Manage taxable benefit calculations, and perform account reconciliations
- Process and calculate short-term disability and WCB payments
- Prepare year-end reports and T4s
- Work with a dedicated team to improve payroll processes where needed
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in payroll
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- PCP or CPM Designations would be an asset
- Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment, providing a high level of customer service to coworkers and customers alike
