The Opportunity

Holm Electric is looking for an organized, personable HR & Payroll Administrator who enjoys helping people, improving processes, and ensuring our employees have an outstanding experience from hiring through retirement. This position plays a key role in supporting payroll, Human Resources, compliance, and employee engagement across our Nevada and California operations. This is a full-time position based primarily in Incline Village. Occasional travel to other company locations, including Las Vegas, will be required to meet business needs

We prefer candidates that have the following education and experience.

· Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience

· Three or more years of payroll processing (QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop & QuickBooks Time currently in use)

· Experience implementing or transition payroll platforms.

· Strong computer skills (QuickBooks, Excel, Outlook,) and accounting knowledge

· Two or more years of hands-on Human Resources administration

· Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

· Construction industry experience is a plus

What You'll Do

While not a day-to-day description, the overall duties include:

Payroll & Benefits Administration

· Processes payroll accurately and timely, ongoing auditing of payroll transactions

· Coordinates payroll changes and respond to payroll questions.

· Maintains payroll records, employee files and HRIS records.

· Ensures payroll processing and reporting comply with applicable federal and state requirements.

· Coordinates leave requests, maintaining required documentation and tracks leave timeliness

· Coordinates the company’s full cycle of health, welfare insurance, and 401(k) benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee support.

Recruiting & Onboarding

· Partners with managers to identify staffing needs.

· Coordinates the recruitment process from job posting through candidate selection, hiring, and onboarding.

· Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding activities.

Human Resources & Compliance

· Understands and applies sound employment laws and practices to all interactions, asks for help if unsure.

· Implements correct employment procedures both legal and best practices, such as performance management, corrective action, and separation.

· Assists management with policy interpretation and consistent application of employment practices.

Employee Experience

· Partners with company leadership to support the day-to-day employee experience while fostering a compliant, responsive, and supportive work environment.

· Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development.

· Improves continuously HR, payroll, communication, and employee support processes to enhance the overall employee experience.
