As an Associate on the Card Risk Portfolio Analytics Team, you will design and deliver analytical projects aimed at understanding emerging credit risks. You will be responsible for building insights from various data sources, including internal cross line-of-business and third-party. You will have the opportunity to present findings to senior leaders and support regulatory requests. This role requires deep curiosity, strong analytical skills, collaboration, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver analytical projects to identify opportunities for mitigating risks that contribute to delinquencies and credit losses.

  • Apply current AI capabilities to analyze the Card portfolio and uncover meaningful patterns and insights.

  • Identify and size new and emerging credit risks, recommending actions to risk colleagues within Card acquisition and portfolio management.

  • Evaluate new data sources and to improve card risk management.

  • Communicate analytics findings to executive leadership.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in risk management or financial services.

  • Some technical skills required: SQL experience, MS Office experience, experience using AI tools, analytical problem solving.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including creating clear presentations and presenting findings to senior management.

  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and organizational discipline.

  • Ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.

  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a proven ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Master's degree in a related discipline.

  • Knowledge of financial procedures and principles, with a strong understanding of consumer banking.

  • Experience with SAS, Python, Tableau, and/or Alteryx, LLM tools.
