Responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card administration, invoice processing, vendor maintenance and other miscellaneous functions necessary to support the Finance and Accounting team.

Location: Clinton, IN office daily

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
  • Monitor spending trends and evaluate monthly expense limits, recommend and implement adjustments as needed
  • Allocate costs to appropriate jobs, ensuring accurate cost reporting
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues related to expenses, reporting, and employee balances
  • Maintain ticketing system for general credit card and expense report questions and requests
  • Set up and maintain new AP vendor information in Viewpoint; ensure compliance with SOX controls and other proper approvals
  • Maintain a level of professional skepticism and apply critical thinking skills when receiving vendor banking information to identify, communicate and reject fraudulent requests to protect MasTec assets
  • Enter daily accounts payable transactions into Accounting System
  • Assist in payment processing cycles, including ACH, checks, and other payment methods
  • Communicate with vendors and internal employees to resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Business-related area preferred
  • Experience in credit card administration, invoice processing, and vendor maintenance preferred
  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint and/or Oracle Fusion preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working towards the Company’s Zero Injury principles
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, training documents and standard operating procedures

  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
