We’re seeking a Payment Processing Specialist to join us.
In this position, you will be responsible for processing incoming payments and correcting payment issues with banks and insurance carriers. This position will need to be effective at communicating with Banks, Clients, Attorneys and Patients to resolve depositing issues. 
Essential Qualifications and Responsibilities:
  • Processing incoming payments from insurance carriers.
  • Sorting daily incoming mail and processing to appropriate lockboxes
  • Calling insurance carriers to verify if checks are cashed and if not asking to have reissued
  • Perform other special projects as assigned
  • Familiar with bank processes, such as non-sufficient funds and international checks is a plus
  • Ability to work within deadlines and in high volume conditions
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with change constructively
  • Ability to follow through, identify road blocks and provide resolution scenarios
  • Must be detail oriented, be able to work independently, and manage multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat products
  • Proficient in maneuvering in Insurance Carrier websites
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Pleasant phone manner when communicating with outside resources and patients
  • Medical billing office and payment posting knowledge is preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
