Position Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Construction Safety Director to lead our company's safety programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial construction practices, with a proven ability to combine strategic program management with hands-on field engagement. The Director will be responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing safety policies across all projects to ensure a safe work environment and minimize risks. Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive company-wide safety program.
  • Ensure all project sites comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Conduct regular, detailed safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee and manage site safety teams, providing leadership, training, and support.
  • Develop and deliver effective safety training programs for all employees and subcontractors, covering topics such as hazardous materials, fall protection, and equipment operation.
  • Review subcontractor safety programs and pre-task plans for compliance with company standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain and analyze safety performance metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and manage regulatory exposures.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture through strong leadership and collaborative engagement with project management, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit all required safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.

Position Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in construction safety management preferred.
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification is required.
  • OSHA-Authorized Construction Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500) is highly preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • First Aid/CPR with AED certification is preferred.
