Job description

Pavement Resources

B2B Outside Sales Representative (Asphalt & Concrete)

(B2B / B2Government)

Location: Ham Lake, MN (Twin Cities Metro + Eastern MN + Western WI)

Sell pavement solutions that prove themselves on-site.

In addition to developing a strong sales relationship with existing and past customers, you build pipelines from scratch: identify decision-makers, get face time, and earn the right to bid. You like selling real work to real buyers, and you're comfortable with consistent outreach.

Pavement Resources is a family-owned asphalt and concrete maintenance company trusted across Minnesota for over 20 years. We serve schools, cities, townships, agencies, and commercial clients with asphalt repair, hot mix patching, crack sealing, spray-inject patching (DuraPatcher), catch basins/storm drains, and winter services.

As our B2B Outside Sales Representative (Asphalt and Concrete), you'll own the front end of growth: targeted market research, disciplined prospecting, and converting accounts into bid opportunities--often starting with a free on-site demonstration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and build a target list of public-sector and commercial accounts (schools, cities, townships, facilities, property groups, and contractors).
  • Research and confirm decision-makers, bid/procurement processes, and timing for each account.
  • Prospect daily via calls, emails, and in-person visits to secure meetings and bid invitations.
  • Schedule and coordinate free on-site demonstrations to showcase repair quality and speed.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline in a CRM: next steps, timelines, bid calendars, notes, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with operations/estimating to ensure proposals are accurate, timely, and aligned to scope.
  • Present bids clearly, follow up persistently, and close profitable work.
  • Build multi-season account plans so momentum carries from year to year.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience (construction services, maintenance, or private-sector selling is a strong plus).
  • Comfortable with "hunter" activity: prospecting, door-to-door outreach, and consistent follow-up.
  • Able to navigate public-sector and facilities decision-making with professionalism and persistence.
  • Strong organization and CRM discipline; you keep a clean pipeline and don't drop balls.
  • Clear communicator who builds trust quickly and represents the company well on-site.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally across the service area.
  • Experience with Go-High-Level preferred.
Compensation & Upside
  • Base salary: $60,000
  • $20,000 first-year guarantee (ramp protection)
  • Uncapped commission / performance-based earnings
  • High performers can earn $200,000+ annually (example: $2M/year sold ~$200K earnings)
Work Location & Schedule
  • Full-time role based out of Ham Lake, MN with travel throughout the Twin Cities metro and surrounding regions (Eastern MN / Western WI).
  • Seasonal rhythm: success comes from staying consistent early and building next-season momentum before peak demand hits.

Pavement Resources is an equal opportunity employer. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
