Role: Sewing Pattern Designer

Location: Beaverton, OR

Duration: 5 Months Contract

Employment Type: Contract


We're looking for a highly creative Sewing Pattern Designer/Apparel Designer to join a fast-paced design team supporting a special seasonal project. This opportunity is ideal for designers who are passionate about lifestyle, sport, and fashion apparel and enjoy bringing fresh creative ideas to existing collections while developing new concepts.


What You'll Do

  • Design and update seasonal apparel collections.
  • Create and revise Tech Packs for manufacturing.
  • Develop apparel concepts from ideation through final execution.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Merchandising, Technical Development, Materials, Graphics, and Sourcing teams.
  • Research trends, consumer insights, and lifestyle influences.
  • Present design concepts and communicate creative vision to cross-functional partners.
  • Support innovation in materials, trims, silhouettes, graphics, and construction.


Must-Have Qualifications

โœ” 5+ years of apparel design experience with Cut & Sew pattern design.

โœ” Experience creating Tech Packs for manufacturing.

โœ” Strong understanding of apparel construction, fit, materials, trims, and color.

โœ” Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.

โœ” Excellent concept development, sketching, and presentation skills.

โœ” Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have

  • Graphic design experience for apparel and accessories.
  • Color and Materials design experience.
  • Experience designing men's and women's lifestyle apparel.
  • 3D apparel design experience.
  • Previous experience in the athletic or lifestyle apparel industry.


Portfolio Required

A portfolio is mandatory and should demonstrate:

  • Broad range of apparel design work
  • Lifestyle-focused collections
  • Cut & Sew apparel projects
  • Materials knowledge
  • Strong creative process and technical executione.
