To thrive as a Pattern Designer, you need a strong background in textile or fashion design, a keen eye for detail, and knowledge of fabric properties, often supported by a relevant degree or diploma. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software like Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, or specialized pattern-making programs is commonly required. Named one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in 2024 and coming off another year of strong double-digit growth, we're looking for a Senior Designer to help shape the future aesthetic direction of the product assortment.
Reporting to the Director of Merchandising & Product Development and partnering closely with the Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, this role will lead trend forecasting, concept development, color and pattern direction, and product design across soft goods, hard goods, and emerging physical product categories. You'll collaborate closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing, and Creative teams to translate cultural insights and customer trends into commercially compelling products and seasonal stories that strengthen the Weezie brand. The role will also contribute to seasonal collection development, category innovation, and the evolution of the product assortment, helping shape the future aesthetic direction of the Weezie brand as it continues to grow
What You'll Do
  • Research and translate emerging trends across fashion, interiors, hospitality, travel, art, and culture into seasonal concepts and product direction
  • Develop and present seasonal direction across color, print, pattern, materials, styling, and product concepts
  • Design products from concept through execution, including sketches, technical details, and development packages
  • Develop prints, patterns, graphics, and surface designs aligned with the Weezie aesthetic
  • Contribute ideas and inspiration that help shape seasonal collections, new product concepts, and future category opportunities while strengthening and evolving the Weezie brand aesthetic
Who You Are
  • 5-10+ years of experience in product, textile, home, lifestyle, or consumer goods design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product design, color direction, print and pattern development, commercial execution, and refined aesthetic judgment
  • Exceptional design skills across sketching, color, materials, print and pattern development, and production-ready product execution
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and evolve a brand aesthetic, creating products that feel distinctly on-brand while introducing fresh ideas that strengthen the brand over time
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Strong understanding of customer preferences, market trends, and commercial viability
  • Experience translating concepts into development packages, technical specifications, and manufacturable designs
  • Strong presentation, communication, and visual storytelling skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly articulate design concepts
What to Expect
  • Hybrid work environment. You'll work from our Westside Provisions District corporate office Tuesday-Thursday.
  • Periodic travel for market research, trend exploration, inspiration, vendor meetings, and industry events.
  • A balance of strategic trend forecasting, concept development, and hands-on product design execution.
  • A fast-paced environment where creativity, curiosity, and ownership are highly valued.
  • A team that works hard but knows how to #enjoythestay.
  • Unlimited PTO, plus remote work during July 4th week and an office closure the week after Christmas.
  • Summer Fridays, with a 1 p.m. office close during the summer months.
  • Anniversary gifts, including a $3,000 travel credit after three years of service and a five-week paid sabbatical after five years of service.
  • Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance benefits.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Generous Weezie product gifts and employee discount for yourself, friends, and family.
  • Paid parental leave.
