Job Summary
The Bench/Traveling Director of Patient Transport and Observation supports the management of finances, client relations, patient satisfaction, quality standards, performance improvement, and productivity. This role oversees the planning, organization, direction, and control of Patient Transportation and hospital activities. The position requires hospitality or logistics management experience and will travel to support operations at hospitals across the United States.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and statistics
  • Travels to various accounts providing support
  • Develops and recommends department operating budget
  • Coordinates transportation activities and services with other hospital departments
  • Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes
  • Plans, organize, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the department
  • Establishes work standards and work flow
  • Establishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operations
  • Demonstrates good communication skills with clients
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
  • Shows strength with financial and patient transport software (internal software are TeamChimes, and TeamTransport)
  • Management of patient transportation add-on services such as, but not limited to; patient observation, lift, courier, valet or shuttle, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree or equal related experience required
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout an assigned region as needed
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data
  • General intuition for business
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Service/quality demeanor
  • Ability to plan, organize, and achieve effective time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
  • High customer service and quality attitude
