Description

As a Patient Services Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a healthcare facility. They are responsible for providing high-quality medical services for the patients, implementing standard protocols and strict regulations to ensure the safety and security of the medical facility. They commonly manage a team of patient service representatives who interact with patients and their families daily.

Reports to: Director of Patient Services

Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Job Location: hybrid Lenexa, KS (2 days in the office and 3 days working remote).  Will consider remote as well

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent but not required in lieu of applicable experience in managing a similar healthcare operation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate with colleagues, management, patients, and physician offices
  • Infusion background is required
  • Appropriate computer skills for the position (Microsoft Office Suite) and areas of influence, CPR+ and/or Caretend experience is preferred
  • Strong work ethics with attention to detail and quality are required
  • Ability to identify and address problem accounts is required
  • 3-5 years managerial experience is preferred

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Participates in process improvement in patient services, including improved workflows and efficiencies as well as the reduction of missed infusions, denials and operational adjustments
  • Enhance and standardize workflows and SOP's throughout the patient services team to assist in achieving consistency amongst all patient services to maintain departmental goals
  • Assist in the updating, creation, and maintenance of new and existing policies and guidelines including the expectations for team members across patient services
  • Responsible for leading and participating in standard and ad-hoc meetings and presentations, including escalations, barriers, analytical report outs and project status updates on our department-wide goals
  • Assists in managing all Patient Management and Document Management staff, performing administrative duties to support H.R. functions including but not limited to recruitment, new hire interviews and onboarding, employee status changes and terminations, participation in disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution, training, performance reviews, and payroll/time keeping

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is required to occasionally walk, and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally open filing cabinets, lift office products and supplies of 25 pounds but no more than 35 pounds.
