Day (United States of America)Job Summary:

Coordinates the patient safety programs at Wellstar. Gathers data detailing patient-related errors and conducts causal analysis to include Root Cause Analysis (RCAs). Conducts risk assessments based on ECRI recommendations, recommends practice changes, policies or programs that could mitigate risks and enhance Wellstar's culture of safety. Participates in organization development and provides patient safety and risk reduction training events.

Required Minimum Education:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

  • Current Registered Nursing license in Georgia or qualifying multi-state compact license.
  • All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience:
  • 2 years or more of experience in nursing and/or adverse event monitoring, remediation, and problem solving.
Required Minimum Skills:
  • Computer skills required to include Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and written communication
  • Group facilitation skills and ability to manage programs and projects
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • 4 years or more of experience in nursing and Healthcare Quality or Patient Safety/Risk Management
  • Experience with process improvement concepts and tools and data management
  • CPHQ or CPPS certification
