Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and professional Patient Safety Coordinator to become part of our team. You will help us reach the highest quality patient care.

 What you will do in this role:

  •  Your will be responsible for working to assist in managing the Patient Safety Program under the direction of the Director of Patient Safety.
  •  You will support the patient safety team in assisting to develop a culture of safety and to identify opportunities and initiatives to enhance patient safety.
  •  You will support the patient safety team with development of the strategic and operational plans to build a prospective, proactive, loss prevention and harm reduction patient safety program.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Registered Nurse preferred or Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare related field.
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Three to five years’ experience in acute care / patient safety risk management setting preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification, current or obtain with 18 months of hire.
