WHO WE ARE

The Jordan-Young Institute is a prominent multi-sub-specialty private physician practice including orthopedics, sports medicine, neurosurgery/spine, physical medicine amp; rehabilitation, and Physical Therapy in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We are a high-volume practice with an excellent team of dedicated professionals whose purpose is to provide the very best medical care to the patients we serve. We are seeking a full-time Patient Registration Representative. We are looking for an experienced, highly organized, Patient Registration Representative.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Patient Registration Representative will work directly under the supervision of the Business Operations Manager while working along with the rest of the team and reporting any discrepancies immediately to maintain Jordan Young Institute's superb customer service standards and care.
You will :
  • Serve as a concierge; greeting patients and visitors to assist them with the registration process at the front desk or kiosk including collecting payments.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical history using EMR and PM systems such as Epic, Clearwave, and All Scripts
  • Review and update patient documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations within applicable systems.
  • Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and confirm insurance authorization is on file for various payors.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Maintain organized medical records, file documents accurately, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive health information.
  • Support administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, generating no-show and recall letters, produce end of day reports and additional duties that align with the department goals.
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives and risk-mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
