Patient Access Representative | Baltimore, MD

We are hiring Patient Access Representatives to support a busy Emergency Department and hospital admissions team in Baltimore, MD.


Location: Baltimore, MD — 100% On-Site

Contract: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion

Schedule: 40 hours/week | 12-hour shifts | 3.5-day work week

Shift: Overnight, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM


Overtime: Frequent opportunity to pick up additional shifts

What You’ll Do

  • Provide front-line support to patients and families in the Emergency Department and admissions areas
  • Complete patient registration and admission documentation
  • Collect and verify patient information
  • Discuss insurance coverage and financial responsibilities with patients
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in hospital systems
  • Support ED operations and assist as an ED runner when needed
  • Work closely with hospital staff and providers in a fast-paced environment
  • Deliver professional, compassionate customer service


What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of professional experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently with computer systems and dual monitors
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move frequently throughout the department
  • Willingness to learn insurance processes, workflows, and hospital procedures
