Position Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school-based team in Cary, North Carolina. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy support and assist students with speech, language, and communication needs across a K-12 educational setting.


Minimum Requirements


โ€ขActive North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license required
โ€ขAssociateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution
โ€ขCompletion of supervised clinical fieldwork requirements
โ€ขAbility to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
โ€ขPrevious school-based or pediatric experience preferred
โ€ขStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skills


Duties and Responsibilities


โ€ขProvide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP
โ€ขImplement individualized treatment plans and classroom communication strategies
โ€ขDocument therapy sessions, student progress, and attendance accurately
โ€ขAssist with speech screenings, therapy preparation, and instructional materials
โ€ขCollaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
