Pathology Medical Director
Job Description

Hospital in Ashtabula, Ohio seeking a full-time Medical Director to supervise the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Services.


Pathology Assistant support on site to perform grossing laboratory front office support.

Practice Overview:

  • General Surgical Pathology Practice
  • Participation in Tumor Board and On-Call coverage
  • No autopsies
  • 20 Cases per day approximately

Requirements:


  • MD./D.O. with Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
  • Ohio Medical License
  • Experience in hematopathology a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laboratory Director
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Critical and strategic thinking
  • Experience in medical staff functions, working knowledge of hospital operations, quality improvement and strategic planning
  • The ability and desire to interact with medical center physicians, hospital administration and laboratory staff
