About this Job The mission of the Secretary of State's office is to serve the public by meeting its legal responsibilities of collecting, securing, and communicating information that enhances commerce, ensures the integrity of Louisiana's elections, and preserves, presents, and makes accessible government information essential to Louisiana's operations and its recorded history. The Louisiana Secretary of State is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Administrative Coordinator to support our procurement team and provide administrative and operational support to department leadership and staff. This position plays an important role in coordinating daily administrative activities, maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence and reports, and ensuring that office operations are organized and efficient.

Minimum Qualifications No experience or training is required. Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Communicate and coordinate with individuals across multiple departments.

Accept and receive all incoming deliveries for the agency. Reconcile received goods with active purchase orders and requisitions in the agency's database. Deliver all goods to the appropriate end user department.

Occasionally drive to other state agencies or private businesses to deliver or receive goods. Personally manage and maintain agency catalog inventory. Assist purchasing staff with management of department documents/files and records retention.

Assist purchasing staff with any extra tasks that may present themselves. Lifting is a function of this position. Will be called upon to lift 50 lbs occasionally.

Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Classified WAE - THIS IS A PART-TIME WAE POSITION. IF HIRED, THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF HOURS WILL BE 1,245 PER 12-MONTH PERIOD. Division: Accounting - Procurement / One (1) vacancy Location: Baton Rouge, LA.
