Job description

Company Overview

Build something from the ground up with a company that's investing in growth.

Elk Ridge Investments is a privately held investment and business development firm based in American Fork, Utah. We partner with businesses and investors to identify opportunities that create long-term value through strategic investments, business growth, and tax-advantaged financial solutions.

We're an entrepreneurial company that believes exceptional people drive exceptional results. Instead of layers of bureaucracy, you'll work alongside experienced business leaders who value initiative, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As we continue to grow, we're building a high-performing sales organization from the ground up—and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with it.

If you're motivated by performance, enjoy healthy competition, and want the opportunity to help shape the future of a sales team while advancing your own career, you'll fit right in.

Position Summary

This isn't a typical Sales Development Representative role.

As Elk Ridge Investments' Capital Partner Manager (Outbound Sales), you'll work directly with our Head of Sales to build pipeline, refine outreach strategies, and help establish the foundation of our sales organization.

Your primary focus will be identifying and engaging high-income professionals who could benefit from Elk Ridge's investment and tax strategy solutions. Through outbound prospecting, relationship building, and thoughtful discovery conversations, you'll create qualified opportunities for the sales team while directly influencing company growth.

Because this is a founding role, your ideas and feedback won't disappear into a large organization. You'll have the opportunity to test new approaches, improve messaging, and help shape the future sales process.

If you're competitive, coachable, resilient, and excited by the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions while building your career, this role offers significant long-term potential. As the company grows, top performers will have opportunities to advance into Account Executive, SDR leadership, or broader sales management positions.

What You'll Do
  • Execute 100+ outbound prospecting activities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to build a consistent sales pipeline

  • Complete high-volume daily outreach while maintaining personalized, consultative communication

  • Research prospective clients and identify key decision-makers

  • Qualify opportunities by understanding prospects' financial goals, business needs, and overall fit

  • Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team

  • Partner closely with Account Executives to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to opportunity

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track outreach activity

  • Respond quickly to inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads

  • Continuously refine messaging based on market feedback and prospect conversations

  • Stay informed on investment strategies, tax planning concepts, and industry trends

  • Share insights and recommendations that improve sales processes and lead quality

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 30 days you'll:

  • Learn Elk Ridge's sales process and messaging

  • Become proficient with our CRM and prospecting tools

  • Begin generating qualified meetings

Within 90 days you'll:

  • Consistently exceed outreach expectations

  • Build a reliable pipeline of qualified opportunities

  • Demonstrate confidence handling objections and qualifying prospects

Within your first year you'll:

  • Become one of the company's top SDRs

  • Generate meaningful revenue opportunities

  • Position yourself for advancement into an Account Executive, Team Lead, or Sales Leadership role

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, financial services, SaaS, FinTech, or a related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a desire to exceed expectations

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Coachable and eager to continuously improve
