Position SummaryServiceMaster is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development Manager (BDM).
This role is responsible for expanding business through insurance professionals, property managers, commercial clients, healthcare facilities, hospitality groups, HOAs, and other referral partners. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building long-term relationships, creating new opportunities, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients.The Business Development Manager works closely with Operations, Estimating, and Project Management to ensure every opportunity is successfully transitioned from sales to execution while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.Success in this role is measured by revenue growth, new account development, customer retention, referral generation, and collection performance.What You'll DoDevelop New Business

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned markets.
  • Build strategic relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, carriers, property managers, commercial property owners, healthcare facilities, hospitality organizations, and institutional clients.
  • Expand existing client relationships while developing new referral sources.
  • Conduct prospect meetings, networking events, site visits, and presentations.
  • Represent ServiceMaster professionally within the local business community.

Manage Strategic Accounts

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain regular communication and scheduled account visits.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing clients.
  • Promote ServiceMaster's full range of restoration and reconstruction capabilities.
  • Resolve customer concerns by partnering with operational leadership.

Partner with Operations

  • Coordinate smooth project handoffs between Sales and Operations.
  • Set appropriate customer expectations throughout the sales process.
  • Provide complete and accurate project information to production teams.
  • Work alongside Estimators, Project Managers, and Production teams to ensure outstanding customer experiences.
  • Support billing and collection efforts through proactive client communication.

Maintain Sales Pipeline & Reporting

  • Keep CRM records current and accurate.
  • Track meetings, opportunities, referrals, and account activity.
  • Provide leadership with pipeline reports, market intelligence, and business development updates.
  • Monitor attributed revenue and account performance.
  • Follow all company policies regarding opportunity attribution and reporting.

Represent the Company

  • Attend networking events, industry associations, trade organizations, and educational opportunities.
  • Stay informed on restoration industry trends, insurance carrier expectations, and market conditions.
  • Build and maintain a strong professional reputation within the community.
  • Support company branding and strategic growth initiatives.
