Job description

About IBS Electronics

IBS Electronics is a global electronic components distributor operating across the US, Hong Kong, and China. For over 40 years, we've helped customers in aerospace, defense, medical, industrial, and energy markets solve hard supply chain problems and move fast when it counts.

We're a young, fast-moving, technology-driven team, and we're investing to grow. That means real opportunity to build a career here, not just fill a seat. We use modern ERP, data, and AI-assisted tools because we believe technology should free people to do their best work, not replace them.

We're also intentional about how we build our team. Sales and Procurement work side by side as global partners. Account Managers are paired directly with buyers across our US and our Global Offices, so collaboration isn't a slogan here; it's how the work gets done. We welcome candidates of every background and are committed to building a team where different perspectives make us sharper.

About the role

We're hiring a Sales Account Manager to build and grow relationships with OEM, contract manufacturers, and strategic customers across Power, Energy, Aerospace, Defense, and Medical markets. This isn't order-taking. You'll use data to find opportunities inside existing accounts, bring in new business, and work closely with procurement and operations to deliver for customers around the world.

You'll own a mix of existing strategic accounts plus active new-business development, inside a fast-moving team where speed of response and customer experience are the edge, regular quoting and fast turnaround are the norm here, not the exception.

What you'll do

  • Build and manage relationships with OEM, CM, and strategic accounts
  • Identify new opportunities inside existing accounts and new markets
  • Use our CRM (Pipedrive) and ERP (NetSuite) to track accounts, spot trends, and guide decisions
  • Quote, negotiate, and close business fast response time is the edge in this market
  • Work daily with procurement and operations to keep orders accurate and on time
  • Monitor account health and flag risk or churn early

What you need

  • 2+ years in B2B sales, account management, or business development
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort with CRM/ERP tools and data-driven decision making
  • Accountability and follow-through you own your accounts

Nice to have

  • Experience with electronic components, semiconductors, or electromechanical parts
  • Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability customer experience
  • Familiarity with Pipedrive, NetSuite, or similar systems
  • Comfort using AI tools, prompting, and workflows to work faster and sharpen decisions
  • Existing OEM/CM relationships in Power, Energy, Aerospace, Defense, or Medical

Compensation and benefits

  • Commission: additional 50-100% of base tied to performance
  • Annual Bonus
  • Total potential compensation: $100,000-$200,000+
  • Medical insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid sick leave, holidays, and professional development
  • Based in Santa Ana, CA
