Position Summary
The Flow Path Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end flow of materials, production orders, and finished goods across the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery, maximize throughput, and minimize disruptions. This role serves as the central coordinator between Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service, proactively identifying bottlenecks, resolving constraints, and driving actions that keep products flowing efficiently through the organization. The Flow Path Manager partners with cross-functional teams to improve execution, increase visibility, and support overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the flow of materials, work orders, and finished goods throughout the supply chain
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, shortages, delays, and other barriers impacting delivery performance
  • Coordinate priorities across Procurement, Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service
  • Expedite critical materials and orders to support customer commitments and production schedules
  • Lead daily and weekly flow review meetings to assess priorities, constraints, and recovery plans
  • Track high-priority orders and proactively communicate status and risks to key stakeholders
  • Analyze inventory, capacity, supplier, and production performance to identify potential disruptions
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for at-risk orders and supply chain interruptions
  • Monitor key performance indicators including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, inventory availability, and past due orders
  • Create visibility through reports, dashboards, and performance metrics
  • Support sales, customer service, and operations teams by providing accurate order status updates
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring flow and execution issues
  • Partner with leadership to improve throughput, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on supply chain and manufacturing performance
  • Support implementation of Lean, Theory of Constraints, and other operational excellence initiatives

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-8+ years of experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing, logistics, scheduling, or expediting roles
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain execution processes
