Job description

K. Hovnanian is celebrating over 65 years of quality and leadership in the home building and community development industry. Do you want to play a large role in those every day decisions that help build dream homes? It's the homes where people will raise their child, form their most important memories, plot the course for their future, spend quality time with their grandchildren or enjoy quiet times reflecting on a life full of accomplishments. Over 300,000 families have put their dreams in our hands, and you can as well.
The Estimating Implementation Manager owns and drives the execution of estimating related workflows, initiatives, and transformation efforts across the organization. This role is accountable for centralizing estimating initiatives, maintaining visibility into scope, progress, dependencies, and outcomes, and ensuring efforts move efficiently from concept through full implementation and adoption.
Operating at the intersection of National Estimating, Architecture, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Construction Operations, this position serves as a hands on driver and coordinator. The role partners closely with cross functional stakeholders to translate estimating strategy into actionable plans, track performance through clear KPIs, visualize progress and capacity needs, and ensure estimating initiatives deliver measurable, sustainable results for a national homebuilder.
Essential responsibilities include the following.
• Own and maintain a centralized inventory of all estimating related workflows, initiatives, and in flight efforts across the organization including scope, owners, milestones, and dependencies.
• Design and develop presentations, visualizations and tracking mechanisms to provide leadership and the broader organization with clear insights on measurable departmental performance data, metrics, implementation progress, risks, issues, operational readiness, and capacity constraints.
• Drive cross-functional stakeholder engagement across national departments and divisions to promote a collaborative, strategic approach to initiatives, and successful delivery of project tasks.
• Interface effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and working styles, from executive leadership to division level teams, with a strong ability to tailor material and content presented based on the audience.
• Oversee and develop an integrated communications plan that promotes clarity, engagement, and transparency related to our Estimating initiatives and gets the right information at the right time to our cross-functional stakeholders.
• Partner with Estimating leadership to translate high-level strategy into detailed executable implementation project plans.
• Assess workloads, resource capacity, and sequencing needs to inform prioritization and realistic delivery timelines.
• Ensure initiatives successfully cross the finish line and are fully implemented, adopted, and operationalized; not just launched.
• Develop and execute change management strategies to drive adoption, mitigate resistance, and ensure long-term sustainability and continuous improvement.
Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field and at least 6 years' experience, including 3+ years in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Formal project or program management training or certification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, etc) preferred but not required.
K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC, a subsidiary of Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc., a well-respected publicly traded company, is committed to providing an environment and programs that help our associates flourish. You can look forward to professional support and extensive benefits-including medical/dental/vision coverage, discounts on mortgages and home appliances, and a 401(k) plan with company match.
