Job Title: Partner Development Intern

Department: Partner Development

Supervisor: Sr. Manager, Partner Development

Job Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Part-Time, 29 Hours per Week (September - December)


Summary:

The mission of the Boston Celtics internship program is to educate its participants in all aspects of operating a professional sports organization. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through these developments, the Boston Celtics strive to successfully prepare their interns to compete for positions in the professional sports industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor execution of in-arena sponsored elements (e.g., LED Ring and Jumbotron Signage, replay bugs, etc.)
  • Help execute partner activations, special events, and community-based programs
  • Responsible for inventorying and the organization of CP merchandise, promotional items, and gifting
  • Support in partner reporting (e.g., sourcing photos, assist in tracking assets, etc.)
  • Develop and execute post event and activation recaps
  • Conduct market research on other professional sports team's activations
  • Responsible for partnership game night assets including but not limited to press banner, suites, and JetBlue Runway.
  • Manage and host CP pregame groups as needed
  • Collaborate to develop new ideas that support partnership sales, community outreach and youth basketball efforts
  • Assist in organization and accessibility to Celtics brand assets

Qualifications:


  • Strong verbal, written and time management skills
  • Experience being an outstanding teammate
  • General knowledge of partnerships platforms including social media, branding and activations
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward facing customer service experience is a plus


Requirements:


  • Must be a junior or senior undergraduate student or graduate student
  • Academic Credit
  • Ability to work scheduled home games and events

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this/these range(s) will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market and industry considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure, performance, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employeeโ€™s/applicantโ€™s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Hourly Rate Range: $15.00
