Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in Columbus and the surrounding suburbs. This role is ideal for a proactive relationship-builder passionate about networking and driving growth in the cleaning and restoration industry. You'll focus on forging strategic partnerships with key referral sources—such as property managers, insurance agents, plumbers, real estate professionals, facility directors, schools, healthcare providers, and commercial organizations—to generate qualified leads, secure vendor approvals, and close new business opportunities.
Success in this position means consistently building a robust pipeline of referrals, scheduling presentations, and contributing to significant revenue growth while upholding Voda's reputation for exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and target potential referral partners and clients through in-person visits, email campaigns, cold calling, and market analysis.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers to earn vendor list placements and drive ongoing referrals.
  • Schedule and deliver compelling presentations (one-on-one and group) showcasing Voda's full range of cleaning and restoration services.
  • Attend networking events, industry trade shows, chamber meetings, and community functions to represent Voda and expand our network.
  • Track all activities, leads, and opportunities in our CRM system; provide accurate weekly and monthly reports on pipeline, conversions, and revenue forecasts.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and local market needs to refine strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly targets for appointments, vendor approvals, and new business revenue.
Qualifications

  • 1+ years of proven experience in business development, outside sales, or account management (experience in restoration, cleaning, insurance, property management, or related service industries preferred).
  • Exceptional networking, communication, and presentation skills with a track record of building rapport and closing deals.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
  • Proficient in outreach methods (phone, email, LinkedIn, in-person) and persistent in follow-up.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience using CRM tools and MS Office.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and clean driving record (mileage and business expenses reimbursed).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Uncapped Commission Structure: 10% on new revenue generated, with additional bonuses for exceeding targets.
  • Realistic First-Year On-Target Earnings (OTE): $100,000–$125,000+ for strong performers.
  • Mileage reimbursement and business expense allowance.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ongoing training and support from a national brand with proven systems.
Why Join Voda?

  • Be part of a fast-growing franchise with tremendous upward mobility and territory expansion potential.
  • Work in a supportive, entrepreneurial environment backed by a trusted national network.
  • Make a meaningful difference—helping families and businesses recover from disasters while building lasting community relationships.
