Job description

Sales Executive, HubSpot Partner Sales
1406 Consulting | Remote | US Based preferred | Full-Time

About 1406 Consulting

1406 Consulting is an Elite HubSpot Solutions Partner, a distinction held by less than 1% of HubSpot partners globally. We are a values-driven, globally distributed team that believes great client outcomes come from pairing deep platform expertise with genuine partnership. We are looking for a sales professional who already understands how the HubSpot partner ecosystem works, whether from selling inside a partner agency or selling at HubSpot itself, and who is ready to grow beyond pipeline development into a full-cycle revenue role.

About the Role

The Sales Executive, HubSpot Partner Sales sits at the intersection of new business and account expansion. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing, you will be the first point of contact for opportunities referred by HubSpot's Small Business and Mid-Market sales teams, and you will own revenue growth within our existing book of business. This is not a pure hunting role and it is not pure account management. It is a consultative selling position for someone who can run a strong discovery call, generate their own pipeline through smart outbound work, spot an opportunity inside an existing relationship, and partner closely with our service delivery team to turn great work into lasting engagements.

This role is ideal for a salesperson who has outgrown a small business seat and is ready to carry larger revenue responsibility, and who wants to develop their skills alongside experienced sellers before taking on our largest and most complex opportunities.

What You'll Do

HubSpot Co-Sell and New Business Discovery

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound referrals from HubSpot Small Business and Mid-Market sales reps, responding with urgency and professionalism
  • Lead initial discovery calls with prospects to understand business goals, current systems, pain points, and readiness for a partner engagement
  • Qualify opportunities based on fit, budget, authority, need, and timeline, and route qualified deals to the appropriate next step in our sales process
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with HubSpot reps, client success managers, and our partner development manager to keep 1406 top of mind for referrals
  • Document discovery findings clearly so scoping and solutions teams can build accurate proposals

Outbound Prospecting

  • Develop pipeline through targeted outbound outreach, starting with the warmest paths: past clients, closed lost opportunities, and dormant relationships already in our CRM
  • Build and execute thoughtful, personalized outreach sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn that reflect 1406's consultative brand rather than high-volume spray tactics
  • Re-engage closed lost opportunities with relevant timing triggers such as new funding, leadership changes, HubSpot product launches, or shifts in their tech stack
  • Leverage modern prospecting and sales intelligence tools (we will equip you with what you need) to identify and reach good-fit accounts within our ideal client profile
  • Partner with marketing to align outbound messaging with active campaigns and content

Upsell and Cross-Sell Within Our Book of Business

  • Proactively review our existing client base to identify expansion opportunities across additional Hubs, integrations, training, and strategic services
  • Partner with account and delivery teams to time expansion conversations around client milestones, renewals, and roadmap discussions
  • Run consultative conversations with existing clients that connect their evolving business goals to new areas where 1406 can help
  • Maintain a healthy expansion pipeline with accurate forecasting in HubSpot

Sales Operations and Collaboration

  • Maintain pristine CRM records, pipeline stages, and forecasts in HubSpot
  • Collaborate with scoping and solutions architecture teammates during pre-sales to ensure proposed engagements are accurate, profitable, and aligned with client goals
  • Ensure a seamless handoff from sales to service by documenting client requirements, success metrics, and commitments for the delivery team
  • Contribute to sales playbooks, outreach sequences, and process improvements as we scale
  • Represent 1406 at HubSpot events and within the partner ecosystem as opportunities arise

What You'll Bring

Required: HubSpot Partner Ecosystem Experience

  • Demonstrated experience selling HubSpot at a Solutions Partner agency, or as a HubSpot AE who worked closely with the partner channel on services-led deals
  • Recent, hands-on familiarity with how the HubSpot Partner Program actually works: deal registration, co-sell and referral workflows, working relationships with HubSpot reps and partner development managers, and how partner-sourced pipeline gets tracked and credited
  • A working understanding of what a HubSpot implementation and services engagement actually involves, so you can speak credibly to scope, timeline, and value rather than selling the platform in the abstract

Also Required

  • 2 to 4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling professional services, consulting engagements, marketing or RevOps retainers, or SaaS implementation services
  • Experience running discovery or qualification calls independently, with a consultative and educational approach rather than a scripted pitch
  • Demonstrated outbound prospecting experience, including writing your own sequences and personalizing outreach at the account level; familiarity with sales intelligence and prospecting platforms is a plus
  • Comfort collaborating with technical and delivery teammates, and humility about looping in experts when a conversation goes deeper than your knowledge
  • Strong written communication for proposals, follow-ups, and internal documentation
  • Organized pipeline management habits and a belief that clean CRM data is part of the job, not an afterthought
  • A growth mindset: you want coaching, you want feedback, and you want a clear path toward larger deals and greater ownership

Nice to Have

  • Active HubSpot certifications (Inbound Sales, Sales Software, or similar)
  • Familiarity with co-selling motions alongside a software vendor's sales team
  • Experience with renewal or account management conversations for services businesses
  • Customer Success experience at a HubSpot partner or SaaS company, paired with direct selling experience elsewhere

Why 1406

  • Work inside the top 1% of the HubSpot partner ecosystem, with direct exposure to HubSpot's Small Business and Mid-Market sales organizations and some of the most interesting implementation work in the ecosystem
  • A defined growth path: this role is designed as a launching point toward senior sales positions as you demonstrate results
  • A collaborative, globally distributed team culture built on our five core company values
  • Competitive base salary plus commission, with benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO.
  • Compensation: $120k base with $160K - 180K OTE
