What is a partner development manager at AWS?

A Partner Development Manager (PDM) at AWS is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with AWS's partner organizations, such as independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators, and consulting firms. Their primary goal is to help these partners grow their business on the AWS platform by providing guidance, resources, and support. PDMs work closely with partners to develop go-to-market strategies, drive joint business initiatives, and ensure partners are equipped to deliver cloud solutions to customers. They also collaborate with internal AWS teams to align partner activities with AWS's broader business objectives.

How does a partner development manager at AWS typically collaborate with internal teams to support partner success?

As a Partner Development Manager at AWS, you will frequently collaborate with internal teams such as sales, solutions architecture, marketing, and product specialists. This collaboration ensures that partners receive the technical guidance, co-marketing opportunities, and sales enablement they need to build successful AWS-based solutions. Regular cross-functional meetings and joint strategy sessions are common, as is the need to communicate partner feedback internally to drive improvements. Building strong relationships within AWS is key to navigating resources and delivering value to partners.

Affiliate & Partnership Development Manager

Switcher Inc

Louisville, KY • On-site

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Switcher's affiliate and partnership strategy, defining goals, value, and impact.

  • Recruit, activate, and grow high-value affiliates and develop strategic partnerships with influencers, creators, and organizations.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outreach, and track performance to optimize the program.

Job description

Who We Are
The short version: Founded in 2014, Switcher, Inc., is a remote-first tech startup.
The long version: Switcher is a passionate group of creators, storytellers, leaders, and developers. What started as a live streaming app for iPhones has grown into a powerful video commerce platform, and now we're building solutions that simplify the business of video for creators and teams.
Who You Are
You are a strategic, relationship-driven, and commercially minded professional who knows how to build partnerships from the ground up. You understand that great partnerships don't happen simply by signing up affiliates-they require a clear strategy, compelling value proposition, thoughtful relationship development, and consistent activation.
You're equally comfortable thinking at the 30,000-foot level and rolling up your sleeves to make things happen. You can articulate why partnerships matter, what we should accomplish through them, who we should partner with, and how those relationships should develop over time.
You have a proven ability to identify and develop high-value 1:1 relationships with affiliates, influencers, creators, media contacts, organizations, and strategic partners. You're confident reaching out cold, building relationships from scratch, presenting a vision, negotiating opportunities, and ultimately turning those relationships into measurable business impact.
You're also comfortable working across Marketing and Sales, with the ability to think about partnerships not just as a marketing channel, but as a growth and revenue engine for Switcher.
What You'll Be Doing
We're looking for an Affiliate & Partnership Development Manager to build and scale Switcher's affiliate and partnership ecosystem. This role will own the strategy and execution behind partnerships-from defining what we should achieve through partnerships to identifying the right people and organizations, developing those relationships, and measuring their impact.
  • Develop and execute Switcher's affiliate and partnership strategy, clearly defining the goals, value, and expected impact of partnerships.
  • Recruit, activate, and grow high-value affiliates through PartnerStack, with a strong focus on developing deeper 1:1 relationships with top partners.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with influencers, creators, media contacts, organizations, and industry leaders.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and outbound outreach.
  • Develop mutually beneficial opportunities including affiliate, referral, co-marketing, sponsorship, media, influencer, and other strategic partnerships.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Marketing to turn partnerships into measurable leads, customers, revenue, and brand awareness.
  • Track partnership performance and use data to continuously identify opportunities to improve, expand, and scale the program.

What We Need
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, affiliate marketing, business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven success building and scaling affiliate programs, with strong hands-on PartnerStack experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow high-value 1:1 partnerships.
  • Strong strategic and business development mindset, with the ability to define the "why," goals, and measurable impact of partnerships.
  • Experience with outbound prospecting, relationship development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Experience working with influencers, creators, media, publishers, or strategic partners.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a partnership pipeline and measure performance.

What Would Be Awesome (But Isn't Required)
  • Existing relationships with affiliates, influencers, creators, media outlets, publishers, agencies, or industry organizations.
  • Experience in media relations, public relations, communications, or earned media.
  • Experience in the creator economy, livestreaming, video, SaaS, technology, or digital media.
  • Established relationships within the worship industry, faith-based organizations, or church technology communities.
