What is a partner development AWS role?

A Partner Development AWS role focuses on building and managing relationships between Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its business partners, such as technology vendors, consulting firms, and system integrators. Professionals in this position work to drive growth by developing joint go-to-market strategies, enabling partners with AWS resources, and supporting them in delivering cloud solutions to customers. They act as a bridge between AWS and its partners to ensure mutual business success and foster innovation in the cloud ecosystem.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a partner development manager at AWS?

To thrive as a Partner Development Manager at AWS, you need a strong background in cloud computing, business development, and partner relationship management, typically supported by a bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field. Familiarity with AWS services, CRM systems like Salesforce, and relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect is highly valuable. Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills help build lasting partnerships and drive joint business outcomes. These skills are crucial for expanding AWS’s partner ecosystem and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

How does a partner development role at AWS typically collaborate with internal teams and external partners?

Externally, you’ll engage with AWS partners to identify business opportunities, provide guidance on AWS programs, and help them navigate technical and commercial challenges. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively between diverse stakeholders, ensuring that both AWS and its partners achieve their business objectives.

    Job description

ImagineX is a tech company that deploys AI-assisted teams to build and secure mission-critical enterprise solutions with our clients - spanning software, data, and AI. Structured like a software company, not a traditional consultancy, we blend deep technical expertise with authentic values, achieving world-class satisfaction (NPS 91). Our dedicated teams specialize in software, data, and AI across the U.S. and LATAM, bridging the gap between boutique agility and enterprise scale.
    About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our high-performing engineering team. In this role, you will architect, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support mission-critical enterprise systems. You'll collaborate closely with software and data engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions for our clients.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who thrives in automation-first environments, enjoys solving complex cloud challenges, and wants to influence DevOps strategy across multiple projects. You'll be working with a team of ImagineX'ers ensuring strong alignment and a smooth partnership with the client.
This is a 100% remote full-time position. What You'll Do
    • Architect, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, with a strong focus on scalable, Kubernetes-based architectures.
    • Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support containerized and Kubernetes-deployed applications.
    • Manage and automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling across multiple environments, including Kubernetes clusters and supporting services.
    • Deploy, secure, and maintain Amazon EKS clusters and Kubernetes workloads, including cluster lifecycle management, node group optimization, and workload orchestration.
    • Troubleshoot production issues across AWS and Kubernetes environments, perform root-cause analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements.
    • Champion DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement across teams

    What You Need
    • 5-8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
    • Deep expertise with AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform, with a strong focus on scalable, Kubernetes-based architectures.
    • Strong experience with GitHub Actions and scripting skills in Python
    • Experience with Anthropic Claude, including prompt design, model capabilities/limitations, and best practices for using Claude in development, automation, and documentation workflows.
    • Ability to hit the ground running with Claude-based tooling, leveraging it for code generation, architectural exploration, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency.

    Nice to Have
    • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator, etc.)
    • Experience with service mesh, API gateways, or distributed systems
    • Background in .NET, Node.js, or backend engineering

This role is based in the US and only open to citizens and permanent residents of the US who do not require visa sponsorship.
