Job description

Aretum is seeking a Partner Coordinator Specialist to support stakeholder engagement and coordination activities within a Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) environment. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals with experience engaging state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) organizations, government entities, regional associations, and cybersecurity industry partners.

This position will serve as a trusted coordination and consulting resource, helping facilitate stakeholder relationships, manage initiatives and deliverables, and translate complex cybersecurity and program information into clear, executive-level communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and manage productive relationships with government, SLTT, regional, and cybersecurity industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate engagement activities and initiatives involving state and local governments, regional associations, and other external partners.
  • Support DHS/CISA stakeholder engagement programs, processes, and mission priorities.
  • Apply an understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, policy, and industry practices to stakeholder coordination and program activities.
  • Serve as a liaison among internal teams, government stakeholders, industry partners, and other participating organizations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track projects, stakeholder activities, deliverables, milestones, and action items.
  • Develop high-quality written materials, including executive briefings, reports, presentations, meeting materials, correspondence, and other leadership-level deliverables.
  • Translate technical, cybersecurity, policy, and programmatic information into clear communications tailored to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate meetings, working sessions, stakeholder discussions, and follow-up activities.
  • Identify stakeholder needs, risks, dependencies, and emerging issues and provide recommendations to program leadership.
  • Provide consulting and advisory support related to stakeholder engagement, cybersecurity initiatives, program coordination, and partnership development.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder engagement records.
  • Support additional program management and coordination activities as required.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals from a technical, policy, or combined perspective.
  • Experience working with state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) organizations, including state or municipal governments, regional associations, or similar public-sector organizations.
  • Experience managing relationships with industry stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience working with cybersecurity industry partners or organizations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience developing executive-level deliverables, presentations, reports, briefings, and other professional written products.
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects, deliverables, timelines, and competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, organization, and general management skills.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, including the ability to assess stakeholder needs, synthesize information, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively across technical, policy, program, and executive stakeholder groups.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain DHS suitability.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Ability to understand and communicate cybersecurity concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting DHS, CISA, or another federal cybersecurity organization.
  • Familiarity with DHS/CISA organizational structures, mission areas, stakeholder engagement processes, and operating environment.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity-focused federal programs or initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating partnerships involving federal, SLTT, and private-sector organizations.
  • Project management experience in a federal consulting or government contracting environment.
  • Active security clearance, including Top Secret (TS), desired but not required, provided the candidate meets all applicable DHS suitability requirements.

  • DHS Suitability: Required. Candidate must be eligible to successfully complete and maintain all DHS suitability requirements associated with the position.
  • Security Clearance: Top Secret (TS) clearance desired.
