Compensation: $700-$800 per diem

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care at two outpatient clinics in Syracuse, NY.

This is a clinic-based role where you'll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations.

If you're looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency โ€” without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice โ€” this opportunity offers flexibility and professional support.

The Setting

This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model.

โ€ข Clinic staff are on-site full time
โ€ข Organized scheduling and patient flow
โ€ข Coordinated, team-based care environment
โ€ข Value-based model focused on seniors

We manage equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics โ€” allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care.

What You'll Do

โ€ข Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
โ€ข Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
โ€ข Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
โ€ข Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
โ€ข Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting

What Makes This Different

This is not a high-volume retail model.

Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent Comprehensive Mobile Care directly within each partner location.

We emphasize:

โ€ข Quality over volume
โ€ข Consistency and predictability
โ€ข Administrative and logistical support
โ€ข Long-term clinic partnerships
โ€ข Ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery

Qualifications

โ€ข Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
โ€ข Active New York optometry license
โ€ข Experience treating senior populations preferred
โ€ข Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
โ€ข Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

Schedule

โ€ข Part Time (8 days per month)
โ€ข Typical hours: 8:30am - 4:30 pm
โ€ข No nights
โ€ข No weekends
โ€ข No billing or administrative responsibilities
