Utica Academy of Science Charter School's Elementary School is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school by providing administrative assistance to school leadership, faculty, students, and families while helping maintain a welcoming and efficient school environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant, you will:

  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and professional school office.
  • Serve as the first point of contact by welcoming visitors, answering telephone calls, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Distribute incoming mail and manage office correspondence.
  • Electronically distribute announcements and communications to staff, students, and families.
  • Register new students and maintain accurate student records.
  • Process student transfers and records requests.
  • Assist with student transportation coordination.
  • Maintain daily student attendance records within the student information system.
  • Order, organize, and maintain office supplies and materials.
  • Provide administrative support to school leadership and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support school operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience required; experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance through the New York State Department of Education.
Compensation

$17.25-$20 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
