Part-Time Lead Site Coach - Salem YMCA
Join the YMCA of the North Shore to lead our SHARKS Swim Team. You will oversee technical development and site culture for athletes ages 5-18, fostering excellence in and out of the pool.
Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Design and execute technical training regimens and endurance cycles.
  • Mentorship: Build athlete confidence and resilience through YMCA core values.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for families to ensure a cohesive site culture.
  • Performance Tracking: Collaborate with the Head Coach to monitor attendance and athlete progression data.

Requirements
  • Experience: Strong background in competitive swimming and proven leadership/supervisory skills.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of USA Swimming stroke mechanics and regulations.
  • Certifications: Must hold or obtain USA Swimming or YMCA coaching certifications.
  • Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence and the ability to motivate diverse age groups.
