Wellness Assistant - Part Time
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9am to 1pm
Tuesday, Thursday - 12pm to 6pm

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists Wellness Director with setting up and promoting special events on campus including Wellness Fair, Fall Prevention Week, Senior Olympics, Triathlon, etc.
• Provides and schedules ongoing fitness assessments and personal training sessions
• Teaches and/or substitutes exercise classes for seniors and employees including Aqua Strength, Dance Fitness, Circuit Training, Boxing, Weights and Bands, Balance, Yoga, etc.
• Keeps accurate client records and tracks class attendance through electronic portal
• Maintains pool and fitness areas
• Other duties as assigned by Wellness Director
Required Skills/Abilities
• Ability to work comfortably with older adults
• Understanding and accommodating the needs associated with the aging population
• Intermediate computer skills with ability to learn new technology
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Nationally recognized personal training and/or group exercise certifications, i.e. ACSM, NASM, ACE
• At least one year working with the senior population
