Job description

Shift: Varied
Evening Shift Differential:$2.00/hour
Night Shift Differential:$2.50/hour

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to perform a variety of duties to start, stop, operate, maintain and do repair work on high-pressure boilers, absorption and centrifugal chilling machines to include many types of pumps, air compressors, water softeners and related equipment. Periodically tour the facility to observe operations, and make necessary equipment adjustments. Log significant observations, record daily meter readings and maintain daily operating logs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) years of job related experience in boiler plant operations required.
  • Valid PA Drivers License required.
  • Must pass a written skills test with a minimum grade of 75% and demonstrate hands on skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Two (2) years Vocational/Technical school training preferred.
  • Previous experience in chilled water systems preferred.
  • Previous experience in operating tractors and other types of equipment preferred.
