Organizational Role: Grace Community Church - Old Jacksonville Campus
Direct Report to: Grace K!DS Director, Old Jacksonville
Number of Hours: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)
Work Days: Sunday-Thursday
General Summary of the Position
The position of Grace K!DS Preschool Coordinator exists to ignite passion for Jesus in preschool-aged kids while partnering with parents and equipping volunteer leaders to share the gospel and care for kids. The person holding this position will oversee all facets of Sunday morning programming for kids 0-5 years of age. This role will also have the privilege of serving alongside a dynamic multi-site team that provides fun, engaging, intentional events for families in our community, aimed at fostering a growing relationship with Jesus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Grace K!DS campus director in providing vision, leadership, and discipleship to volunteers, families, and kids
  • Model and multiply the leadership values of Grace Community Church
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage volunteers
  • Work in tandem with the director to perform the necessary steps to move leaders through the Church Community Builder database processes
  • Prepare volunteers for ministry tasks, curriculum use, and safety procedures
  • Write and send consistent and compelling communication to volunteers and parents
  • Oversee set up and tear down of preschool rooms
  • Attend bi-weekly GK campus meetings (Monday), monthly GK global meeting (typically Wed am), and monthly All Staff meetings (second Monday of each month)
  • Serve GK's events (Summer Ignite, Jingle Jam, Easter Jam...)
  • Perform any other duties necessary for the success of Grace K!DS

  • Supports overall purpose, core values, and mission statement of Grace Community Church.

Education, Training, Experience:
  • Personal relationship with Jesus and a gospel-centered approach to life and leadership
  • Bachelor's Degree - preferred Early Education or Child's Ministry; we are happy to consider experience in lieu of formal education
  • 1-3 years of experience as part of a ministry team and as a leader of volunteers
  • An understanding of the Christian worldview and the ability to articulate those principles to adults and children

Work or Ministry Team Context
This position serves the Old Jacksonville campus and works directly with the Grace K!DS campus director. This person will office (meet, prep) in the church offices on University Blvd, Tyler, TX. Prep and set up of curriculum takes place on site at the Old Jacksonville campus.
